“Are you actually delivering better oral health and the right messages to really make a difference? Can you demonstrate this if asked by the CQC, NHS England, the BSA or Legal experts?”

Background

Many dental teams have asked for clear guidance about the advice they should give and the actions they should take to be sure they are doing the best for their patients in preventing disease. There is currently an increasing drive for greater emphasis on prevention of ill-health and reduction of    inequalities of health by the giving of advice, provision of support to change behaviour and application of evidence-informed actions. It is important that the whole dental team, as well as other   healthcare workers, give consistent messages and that those messages are up to date and correct.
